National Hispanic Heritage Month

National Hispanic Heritage month is celebrated September 15 - October 15. During this time we celebrate and acknowledge the histories, contributions, accomplishments and cultures that the Hispanic community has shared with the U.S. There are generations of lively music, dance, art and food that have spread across the US and are now celebrated by people of all cultures. The 1950s saw the advent of the ice cream truck and the food carts that would show up in newly built subdivisions and outside of construction sites.
