Patriotic Summer Cookout

Summer is here, so let’s celebrate the USA! From the end of May through early July, the calendar has multiple patriotic holidays, and any of them can become a fun event. Offer cook-out style food, and don’t forget the ice cream or ices! Bring out the yard games and bunting or flags! Consider broadcasting patriotic or swing type music to reinforce the fun.

National Cheesecake Day - July 30

Stop all work for this great event - a fixed date celebration of a delicious dessert. Add a cheesecake vendor to your rotation so your employees can indulge or take a treat home! Get your taste buds ready.

Summer Vacation Party

It's vacation time! Help those who are in the office also take a break with a beach or camping themed event. Cook-out food and s'mores or seafood are great options. Have folks bring their beach chairs and eat outdoors. Feel free to substituate another type of vacation theme that might be more popular with your tenants.

Ice Cream Social

We all scream for ice cream! As the temperature rises, your tenants need a fun break. This can be a lunch event if paired with a food vendor, or just a welcome afternoon break. Add a “Grease” or Barbershop music theme to build some interest and improve the fun.

Talk Like a Pirate Day - Sept. 19

This is a ridiculous holiday that plays really well in certain locations. Have a sports team named the Pirates nearby (Pittsburgh & Tampa Bay – we’re talking about you!)? School Mascot, maybe? Located near the beach? Located away from all bodies of water? Find a reason to let your employees say ARRG!, matey, & scalawag, and be silly!

National Taco Day - Oct. 4

Always on October 4! Consider hosting a variety of taco vendors so your employees can taste their favorite. With such a wide variety of flavors, types, and regions, you are sure to find something your employees will truly enjoy. A delicious break for some South of the Border flavor is just the ticket!

Fall Festival

Temperatures are starting to cool, football has started, and the State Fair is coming! Turn all of this fun into an event for your tenants! Offer concession-type food and games. As the season progresses, add cider or apple-themed food or pumpkin carving. Contact local artisans to bring out their wares for an art walk or to encourage attendance at an upcoming local festival. Host your own art and holiday fair and let folks get a jump on holiday shopping. Consider pairing with a food donation drive as thoughts turn to colder weather and those in need.

Celebrate the State Fair

Celebrate the State Fair with games and concessions! Add this theme to your Fall Festival for a new twist. Bring the food and fun of the State Fair to your employees during lunch for a fun diversion. Mulitple food vendors and gaming opportunities will make this a sure favorite.

Halloween Spooktacular

Halloween is not just for kids! Incentivize costume-wearing with a contest or lunch discount. Your tenant will appreciate some time to let out their inner zombie or vampire before they have to supervise the home festivities and candy distribution that evening. Pair with a blood drive to increase the fun and create a community benefit.
